Our Story
Giovanni Crocitti left his small Italian town of birth at the age of 14 and travelled alone to Melbourne, determined to start a new life.
He learned English working in a Pub and sought opportunities as they presented themselves, working as a cabinet maker and then as a Fitter and Turner at CIG Medishield.
After working for many years at BOC, where he developed and led innovation in the gas welding industry, he co-partnered his first company; JG Engineering.
While seeking to change course in the industry, GASGEP Industries was born, specialising in gas welding equipment and consolidating the newly purchased STAHL Engineering. This new structure is managed by Paul Crocitti, which specialises in the repetitive manufacturing of parts and bespoke engineering components.
GASGEP Industries has forged strong business relationships with top-tier Engineering and Manufacturing Companies. Our broad experience in all facets of machining and engineering has been the lynchpin of our success.
To continue growing our customer base and create a retail space to serve the needs of the local businesses and communities, Newlands Fasteners and Engineering Supplies were acquired in 2018.
Despite the unpredictability of Australian manufacturing, our resiliency and success can be ascribed to our strong family dynamic, hard work, attention to detail, and excellent customer service.
