Safety
When working with this welding unit, the operator should always wear protective clothing and tinted-coloured goggles. The goggles help protect the eyes from UV emissions. As for flame adjustments, the operator sets the unit’s flame settings by changing the gas ratio. The neutral flame setting is done by utilising an equal ratio of oxygen and acetylene. Oxidising flame, alternatively, can be achieved by increasing the oxygen flow rate. Ultimately, the carburising flame setting is attained by raising the acetylene flow.
